columnist Geoffrey Arnold brings you a live blog tonight during the Cowboys-Giants game at Cowboys stadium.   Follow the action here at for entertaining analysis of the game.

7:59 p.m. - Either the color is bad on this television, or Rodney Harrison has a tie that looks like it came from the innards of a pumpkin.

8:08 pm. - I am now convinced that the hand of God came down and stripped the football from Marion Barber in overtime. This is making me a Raiders fan. God is supposed to stay out of football. He can go cure world hunger or something.

8:20 p.m. - Kickoff coming soon.  Terence Newman has not yet given up a big play.  I think.  I'll have to check on that and get back to you.

8:23 p.m. - I will turn this game off and go to bed if Faith Hill will dance in front of me in that black catsuit.

8:31 p.m. - So Austin makes it right back into the starting lineup after being out for most of the season.  So much for Laurent Robinson playing well and developing chemistry with Romo and actually getting rewarded for it.

8:33 p.m. - That first drive was one that would make the word grabasstic jealous in its enormous futility.

8:36 p.m. - Congrats, Cowboys defense!  You couldn't contain Brandon Jacobs, one of the slowest and fattest running backs in the league, from getting to the corner on you.  That's like me not being able to outrun a slug.  It would be because I wasn't trying all that hard.

8:38 pm. - And there you have it.  It took approximately 10 minutes for Terence Newman to make a play for the opposition by dropping an interception that was right in his bricks otherwise known as hands.

8:43 p.m. - Tony Romo is obviously not a weeble.  They wobble but they don't fall down.  I wish I could credit the Giants defensive line for an outstanding play, but it was more a factor of Romo not remembering which foot was left and which was right.

8:47 pm - Big pass play from Manning to god-knows-who.  Is it just me or does the Cowboys defense always look like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off when the ball is snapped?

8:49 pm - The defense shows some heart in stopping the Giants from getting in the end zone.  They'll need more of that if this game continues to be the hot mess it is already panning out to be.  Nonetheless, it was a good stop and keeps the game within one score.

8:56 pm - That was a false start on everyone except the center.  He was obviously thinking about Faith Hill in that black catsuit, too.

9:00 pm - And there goes Demarco Murray to an obviously significant injury.  The good news is that Felix Jones should be well-rested, and proved that he is by ripping off a nice run.

9:03 pm - Nice misdirection play to TE Phillips on the touchdown.  My guess is John Phillips doesn't weigh heavily into the opponent's defensive game plan.  Thank God for small miracles and our secret weapon for this game.

9:08 pm - The defense is sleep-walking again.  That running back otherwise known as the Road Runner, Brandon Jacobs, busted another one on the edge for a long gain because that's what he is known for.
