Bowmans Baseball Betting
- Bowmans.com baseball betting includes MLB and College World Series games.
- Bowmans.com baseball‘straight’ wagers; called, suspended or postponed games for a scheduled nine-inning game must go a minimum of five innings or four and one half if the home team is ahead. If a game goes past five innings (including any extra innings) and is subsequently called, suspended or postponed, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning of play (except that in the case when the home team score to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning in which the game is called, the runs do count).
- Bowmans.com straight baseball wagers are accepted in the following manner:
- ‘Action’ - team against team, regardless of the starting pitcher
- ‘One Specified Pitcher’ - a wager on or against one specific starting pitcher, regardless of the other starting pitcher. Specified pitcher must start or wager is deemed ‘no action’
- ‘Both Specified Pitchers’ - a wager that specifies both starting pitchers. Any variation constitutes ‘no action’
- Note: Each team’s starting pitcher is defined for wagering purposes as the pitcher that throws the initial pitch. When specifying a pitcher the customer must clearly indicate their intention to an operator. Merely asking for a pitcher’s name does not constitute that pitcher being specified.
- In the event of a change in one or both starting pitchers prior to the start of a baseball game, money odds on straight wagers may be adjusted. If one scheduled starting pitcher starts against an unscheduled starting pitcher, ‘action’ and live ‘one specified’ pitcher wagers will be computed at the opening price established with the new starting pitcher.
- Although the Company will always endeavor to inform clients, whenever possible, of any pitcher changes, it is the client’s responsibility to make sure they are aware of any relevant pitcher changes.
- Both listed starting pitchers are automatically specified on both run line and totals wagers. Those starting pitchers listed/specified at the time a wager is placed must start for both teams or wager is deemed no action.
- In the event that the original specified pitcher is posted as an off-pitcher, but then subsequently reinstated, all wagers made prior to the pitcher reinstatement will be subject to Baseball Rules 12 – 15 as normal.
- When the outcome of a baseball team wager is determined by either a run line or a total, the game must go at least nine innings (eight and one half if the home team is ahead) for a scheduled nine inning game for a decision. If the game goes past regulation innings and is subsequently called, suspended or postponed, it is considered action and the winner and loser shall be determined by the score after the last full inning of play (except that in the case in which the home team score to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning in which the game is called, the runs do count).
